Privacy policy
Last updated: 4 November 2026
This policy covers the larsan.net MCP server (“the service”), a private,
self-hosted application at google-mcp.larsan.net run by
Lars J. Nilsson. It lets an AI assistant (Claude) work with the owner's
own Gmail, Google Calendar and Google Drive accounts on the owner's behalf.
Who can use it
The service is for personal use by its owner only. Sign-in is restricted to the owner's accounts, and it is not offered to the public or to any other users.
What data it accesses
When the owner authorises it through Google, the service can access the Google data covered by the granted permissions: email messages and drafts, calendar events, and Drive files. It reads or changes that data only when the owner asks the assistant to do something with it.
How data is used
Google data is used only to carry out the owner's own requests, such as summarising mail, drafting replies, or managing calendar events and documents. It is not used for advertising, profiling, or training AI models, and it is not sold.
Storage and security
OAuth tokens are stored on the owner's own server in a private network and are never shared. Google data is not stored by the service beyond what is needed to complete a request. All traffic to the service is encrypted with HTTPS and protected by sign-in.
Sharing
Data is not shared with third parties. The only exception is the content the owner chooses to pass to their AI assistant (Anthropic's Claude) as part of a request, which is handled under Anthropic's own terms.
Google API Services User Data Policy
The service's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Revoking access and deleting data
Access can be revoked at any time from your Google Account permissions. Revoking access, or removing the stored tokens from the server, ends the service's access to that account.
Changes and contact
This policy may be updated; the date above shows the latest version. Questions can be sent to Lars J. Nilsson via LinkedIn or GitHub.
